Ahead of this Friday night's Late Late Toy Show on RTÉ One / RTÉ Player, Ryan Tubridy paid a special visit to see Ella Donlon at Crumlin Children's Hospital, with her favourite band Picture This also joining in on the surprise.
16-year-old Ella from Roscommon told Ryan how she has been in Crumlin for the last year and a half as she has been undergoing treatment. She had to watch last year's Late Late Toy Show from hospital and documented the experience on TikTok.
"I watched it in the hospital," Ella explained to Ryan.
Aged 15, she was diagnosed with Gastroparesis and related dysmotility and digestive issues.
Ella's family have been staying at the Ronald McDonald House during her treatment, and she is looking forward to finally leaving the hospital on Monday.
"Seeing as you can't come to us, we have come to you," Ryan told her, presenting Ella with a number of presents, before Picture This treated her to a special performance of their hit festive single, This Christmas.
